Meeting called to order at 3:30 in BSB CLJ Seminar Room
Present: Sherie, Sharima, Brian, Jacob, Matt, Angela, and Paola, Jim.
The group accepted the consensus of the online opinion survey and adopted UIC
Criminal Justice Society as the name of the club.
2. Club Recognition:
a. Brian had taken the initiative to dig
up old pamphlets, information, and the old constitution of the old
club.
b. He had determined that since the Criminal Justice Society was
"inactive" last year, we can still apply for recognition for this
semester.
3. Organize for first main event for Criminal Justice Society:
a. Create/Revise a flyer to be used to publicize the ressurection of
the club. Make sure it is inclusive of all students from all majors.
b. Leave flyers in professors' mailboxes so that they may announce
it to their classes and whoever is interested should come.
c. Inviting professors to the first event would also be a good idea.
d. Potluck? Cater?
4. We have decided to hold the next meeting at around 5:45 PM after class
next Thursday, October 23 so that we can have more time.
